New Hyundai Venue gets a myriad of revisions inside and out in its latest avatar and is available in an expansive range
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) reported a steady financial performance for the third quarter and nine-month period of FY26. In the last quarter, Hyundai posted consolidated revenue of Rs. 179,735 million with an increase of eight per cent year on year. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter stood at Rs. 20,183 million – up 7.6 per cent – while profit after tax rose 6.3 per cent to Rs. 12,344 million.
Wholesale volumes improved sequentially due to festive demand and the impact of GST 2.0 price drops. For the nine-month period ended December 2025, Hyundai recorded EBITDA of Rs. 66,325 million with a growth of 3.3 per cent over the corresponding period last year. On the product front, Hyundai reaffirmed its leadership in the SUV space with the Creta regaining its position as the country’s highest-selling SUV.
The midsize SUV crossed the two lakh annual sales mark in calendar year 2025. Another major highlight has been the impressive response to the new generation Hyundai Venue. The compact SUV has crossed 80,000 bookings in just over three months since order books opened with first-time buyers accounting for nearly 48 per cent of total demand.
The Venue is priced from Rs. 7.89 lakh to Rs. 15.48 lakh (ex-showroom). Dimensionally, the compact SUV has grown compared to its predecessor, standing 48 mm taller and 30 mm wider. It gets a sharper design language highlighted by a dark chrome front grille, slim LED light bars, quad-beam headlamps and sculpted surfaces complemented by bridge-style roof rails.
Inside, the cabin receives a comprehensive overhaul with an H-themed dashboard layout, dual-tone Dark Navy and Dove Grey upholstery, a floating centre console and a pair of 12.3-inch curved displays for infotainment and instrumentation. It is equipped with Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS featuring 16 driver assistance functions along with six airbags, electronic stability control, four-wheel disc brakes, TPMS and more.
Powertrain options include a 1.2-litre MPi petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo GDi petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Hyundai has also expanded its footprint by making an entry into commercial mobility with the introduction of Prime HB and SD taxi offerings. Exports continued to contribute in a big manner to overall performance with overseas volumes rising 21 per cent year on year in Q3 FY26. Exports now account for around 25 per cent of Hyundai’s total sales.
